Big Meal...

Yesterday, I put a roast in the crock pot before I left for work with some carrots.  When I got home last night the roast was done.  So I cooked up some mashed potatoes, made some gravy, and cooked up some sweet corn.  I couldn't believe how much food we had!  Everyone ate & ate!  Rylee said to me, "Mom, You haven't made gravy in a long time!  I really like it when you make gravy!"  I just laughed and said...I think it's more like you like the food I make when we have gravy then the fact that you just like gravy!  Cleaned her plate had seconds, and thirds.  Trent was trying to convince Eli to try the gravy, and he didn't want anything to do with it.  Instead he mixed up the pot roast and the mashed potatoes, and then said...See Daddy, It's better this way!  It was cute!  Even Kale asked for seconds!  I guess dinner was a success!  None of us could move after supper, but our tummies were happy! 

Steve & Melinda's Reception

Saturday night we had a great time at Steve & Melinda's reception!  They got married on June 22, 2010 in Mexico, but celebrated the wedding here this weekend.  It was a lovely day!  Great weather and good friends!  We had a awesome time.  Infact I swear we had just sat down to eat dinner and it was midnight.  I have no idea where the night went.  It was nice to hang out with good friends, and enjoy the evening! 
I must say I was a little disappointed.  There wasn't anything but mints for us to eat while we waited for dinner...No candles, no tulip bulbs...Nothing!

It was a hot, Camping Pond Weekend...

The annual Camping Pond weekend was lots of fun.  Besides some rain on Friday night, way too many bugs, and lots of heat...The weekend is a success!  The kids were in the water all day on Saturday.  I had to get Rylee out to eat and apply sunscreen.  Eli & Kale swam a lot too!  The weather was hot and it was prefect time to be in the pond!  We all ate way too much food, and enjoyed great company!  It was fun to see everyone!  I will add pictures soon!

It's the 25th Anniversary of the Relay!

Last weekend was the Relay 4 Life in Green Lake County.  Team "Sole Patrol" although a little thin this year did a great job!  Rylee, Eli, Holley, Troy, Cheryl, and myself slept overnight, but Mom, Mike, and Pete joined us for most of the night.  It was a good time!  The weather was nice.  We got a couple rain drops and that was all.  It's amazing how even though it's been several years, seeing Grandma Severson's picture on the slide show still gets me choked up.  We miss her alot!  I have a close friend who was just diagnosed with Breast Cancer less then a month ago!  It's such a scary thing.  It's crazy! I hope that someday we don't have to worry about this horrible disease!  Until then we will keep fighting the fight!

Last year on the 4th of July I took a picture of Trent and the kids on his baseball field.  This year Trent wanted me to do it again!  It's amazing to see how much the kids have grown.  Rylee looks like she is so much taller.  Kale isn't a baby any more!  I remember as a kid we would get our picture taken with Dad on Memorial Day (especially when he still fit in his uniform!).  Now we have all those pictures of us and Dad throughout the years.  I think the kids will like having the picture of Trent and the kids throughout the years too.

Yesterday we headed up to the pond.  Here are some pictures.  We were able to get some swimming in between the rain, and the "projects".  The kid had a great time in the water!
