Swimmin' Lessons
Last night Rylee and Eli started swimming lessons again. Eli was so excited about it. Kale is in swimming lessons (Parent/Tot) on Sunday’s and his lessons started a couple weeks ago. After Kale’s Sunday lesson there is family swim at the pool. So the first week Rylee, Eli, and I headed down there after the Kale’s lessons to swim too! It was a lot of fun. The kids really enjoyed it. So Sunday when it was time for Kale’s lesson, Eli wanted to go along too. I told him, he wasn’t going to go this week. He started to cry, so I informed him that his swimming lessons were starting on Monday night. He got all excited about it. On Monday Morning he woke up and was asking when swimming was, so I explained to him that when he got home from Kara’s house. Daddy was going to take him and Rylee to swimming lessons, cause Mommy had a basketball game. When I got to Daycare to pick him and Kale up, he started crying. I asked him why he was upset, and he told me that Daddy was supposed to pick him up and take him to swimming lessons. I explained that I was still picking him up and taking him home and then Daddy would take him to swimming. The lessons didn’t start until 5:45, and picked them up at like 3:45 or so. Kara informed me that he had been talking about swimming lessons all day long. When we arrived home, Eli asked me if he should just wait in the van so Daddy could take him. I told him no, that he had a little bit of time yet before lessons. I went to my game, and by the time I got home the kids were in bed. So I asked Trent how the lessons went. He said they went good, and that Eli was all pumped. Every 5 minutes he was asking to go, and then he was the last kid in the pool. Trent said the rest of the kids were out of the pool and in the locker room and Eli was still swimming around in the pool with his teacher. So, of course this morning, I had to ask him how swimming went last night, and he had a big elaborate story to tell me about them. He told me he listened to his teacher, and swam all over the pool with his jogger on of course, and then he told me he didn’t drown either! That was good! I was worried he had…It’s nice to see him excited about swimming, cause last time they took lessons he wasn’t real thrilled about them. I guess 6 months changes a lot of things. Rylee did tell me that she got to swim with out a aqua jogger on. She was very excited about it. She said that she is going to learn to swim all by herself by the end of the lessons! Let’s hope so!
