Eli's Parent Teacher Conferences...

We had Eli's Parent Teacher Conferences this week. He is doing well in Preschool. He shares well with the other kids and does a decent job follwing instructions. She said he is doing a good job with his projects and has a very good vocabulary for a kid his age. She also pointed out that he is stubborn! That is for sure! She said that most the time that is why he gets in trouble is because he thinks things should be one way and they aren't! I can't imagine that! ha ha! He is a very stubborn little boy...A perfect example of that is New Years Eve. He wouldn't eat his supper, so he ended up having to go to bed by like 7:30. You think he would have given in, and just ate the turkey sandwich, but he held his ground and went to bed instead! Jen was pulling out all the stop, bribs and all! She was also a little concerned about his speech. She said that he is a smart little boy with a big vocabulary, but he is hard to understand. She recommended that we have a speech teacher do an assessment with him. She didn't know for sure if they would do anything about it, or if he just needed some more time to develope. So I contacted the Speech teacher at Rylee's school, and she is going to do an evaluation this coming Tuesday. I guess we will find out more than. I can understand him, but I am used to listening to him talk. He struggles with some of his sounds like "Y" and ending "T" sounds. So hopefully we can figure this out together!

Besides that she said he is doing great! It's always nice to hear that your little guy is doing a good job. He really loves school, and can't wait to go every Tuesday and Thursday!
