Today I was the “helping” Mom at Preschool. It’s so much fun to see the kids at school. It makes you realize how much they are growing up already. Eli didn’t seem to care that I was there. He played trains and with this airplane, and completely ignored me! I got to cut out pumpkins and bee hives for projects the kids will be working on. Today was also the first day that the 3 year old cut at preschool. I was fairly impressed with how well they did. The kids played, sang songs, read stories. The letter of the week is “F”, so they talked about Fire Safety today too. They made a couple projects and had a good time on scooters. It was a lot of fun. Eli is such a goofy boy. He seemed to behave, but would interject one liners here and there and than laugh. Mrs. Pearson had to tell him to listen a couple times. He did a really good job with his days of the week, and months. That surprised me. It was fun.
Tonight we have a soccer game. Get out the long underwear! Ha ha! I guess we will see how well we do in the cold. We have another game on Thursday and then two more next week. Then the season is over. I guess the next thing will be swimming lessons again...There is always something!
Huh ... Reason #303 I am superglad I enrolled Ains in preschool - leave scissor handling to the professionals. What parent would trust their 3-year-old with a scissors?
ReplyDeleteAnd, what an odd coinky dink: The fire department trip is Friday for Ains' class - is it national fire safety week?
