Good times, and Great Oldies...

Daycare Bike Train...(from right to left...Kale, Jade, Luci, Eli, and Alex)
We had a nice weekend...We had a lot of things going on, but nothing that was overly time consuming. We headed over to Megan's Parents house on Saturday night, it was so nice to see Megan and meet Charlie! He reminds me of my Boys...Let's just say that Megan and Adam don't make little babies either! Charlie was a sweetie! Trent planned a vacation next summer out to Wyoming to see them! We will see if that happens! ha ha! Sunday we headed to Jodi and Kris's to watch the Packer Game. Trent hadn't been out there yet. The kids had a good time playing with Justin and we all cheered the Pack on to their 2nd victory. I am sure it's a nothing, but the two Sunday's that the boys had on their Packer's jersey's they won...Let me just tell you come Monday night Kale and Eli will be sporting Green and Gold! We have to win against the Vikings, and that Brent guy! ha ha! We did some odd and ends around the house this weekend too. It was a nice, as always too short weekend!
We are looking forward to Rylee's soccer game tomorrow night! Hope for good weather. The above picture is from Friday, Kara took the kids down to watch the Sauk Prairie homecoming parade! I think this is an adorable picture! Go Eagles!

The Boys at Cheryl's house...

Kale's back. (Photo by Eli)

Great shot of Kale's curls...And Taylor too! (Photo by Eli)

Tired out Kale...The boys slept in a tent in the living room.

Look at those pipes...Eli is the BIG Brother!

Eli learned how to take pictures this weekend! Two of these he took...The others Cheryl did!

Time Flys...

Me Helping Kale blow out his candles! My Mom made the Cake! Isn't it cute!

They always say that time flys when you are having fun...I think it flys no matter what. I have no idea where this week has gone. The weekend was great. Friday night Trent and I went out to a movie and stopped for drinks afterwards. It’s the first time we had been out on a “date” in a long time! It was a lot of fun. We went and saw “The Hangover”. It was hilarious. Saturday we ventured out to the Badger Game. It was a good time, as always. The Badger’s destroyed their opponent, and we got to leave the game early to head to a Tailgate party! Rylee went with the Stewarts to Mike’s cousin’s farm, and got to go horseback riding! She loved it! She is still talking about it. Eli and Kale were with the Sina’s and they got to go watch snowmobile grass drag races. Eli told us all about how fast the snowmobiles were! I think they all had a great time. Sunday I headed up to pick up the boys from Cheryl’s and then stopped by to see Mom and Dad.

I had the day off on Monday. Kara was still on vacation, and Rylee had a two hour late start, so it worked out. We read lots of books, played at the park, and “rode” bikes. It was a nice day! Trent played basketball on Monday night...He is playing in a league in Lodi. Tuesday night Rylee was supposed to have a soccer game, but the rain changed those plans. I made a nice supper, pasta and wine! YUMMY! I had to work last night. It was really slow! I did a lot of cleaning to keep myself busy! Tonight we have soccer practice, and I work again on Friday night.

There goes the week! Oh well! What can you do!

Crazy week...

This has been a week. It seems that every night has flown by and every day is over before I know it. Monday night we ended up taking Kale to the Urgent Care. He has a bacterial infection. Trent had basketball, so I took Kale and Eli to Urgent Care and Rylee went with him to Basketball. By the time we got home and ate it was almost bed time! Tuesday night was Rylee's (and my) first Soccer game. The kids did great, and had a good time. At this age we don't keep score, but I think the game was pretty close. Both teams made a decent amount of goals. Wednesday night I worked at the restaurant and Trent was home with the kids. Rylee had her picture taken today for Kindergarten. The send the "proof" home and then we order. They turned out cute. Tonight we had soccer practice, and the boys had to go to Mom and Dad's. Kara is heading to San Fran for the Seahawk game, so Mom is watching the boys for us tomorrow. Tomorrow night will be quiet...It's the first night this week with nothing on! It will be strange!

I am looking forward to a fun time this weekend. We have tickets to go to the Badger Game on Saturday! YEAH! GO Bucky!

New Pictures...

Sunday we went to Madison and got the kids pictures taken. We had to get Eli's 3 year and Kale's 1 year done, and I wanted to get one of the 3 kids again. The pictures turned out decent considering Kale was cranky and Eli didn't really want his picture taken! What do you think?

Packer Backers!

Overheard last night During the Packer Game...

Eli - As the TV announcer talks about Mason Crosby’s Field goal attempt against the Bears last night...“Oh Mason, He is my Friend...Go Mason!”

Eli - ”Which one of those Packer’s is wearing my Jersey?”

Rylee – “How come #4 doesn’t play for them anymore?”

Eli – After a good run by Ryan Grant...”That is what I do, I run the ball, but I am fast!”

Richie Rich...

Well, I think KC had a pretty good birthday. After supper we put a book, money, and a piece of cake on his highchair to see what he grabs first. We have done this with all 3 kids. If they grab the Cake first they are going to have a happy normal life, if they grab the book they are going to be smart, and if they grab the cash they are supposed to be rich. Last night Kale grabbed the money, and waved it around. He didn’t even look at the cake or the book. He was very happy with the money! It was funny. So we are excited that some day he will be able to support Mom and Dad! Ha ha!

He then ate his cake after we took the money away, but only ate a little bit, so either he was full or he isn’t much of a sweet person. I guess we will see.

Rylee had soccer practice last night, I am co-coaching her team with another Mom . Our first game is next Tuesday the 15 at 5:45 p.m. if anyone wants to come watch! It will be entertaining! We have 7 kids on our team and 6 play at once. We have one little girl that doesn’t want to play ever, so the other 6 kids might be playing the whole game!

Happy 1st Birthday Kale Carl!

Kale's first Picture!
Today is my baby boy's first birthday! WOW! I can't beleive that he is already a year old. Time flys. Kale was born at about 12:30. I remember sitting in the room, as big as a house...Waiting, wondering what he or she was going to look like, if it was going to be a boy or girl. Trent and I were trying to decide on names. We had several choices, but nothing was set. We were both convinced that he was going to be a girl, so we were talking mostly about girl names. When he was born, Trent said..."It's a boy!" My first reaction was...Are you sure? He started laughing and said "Yes, I am sure!" I was so surprised! He was such a handsome baby boy. He looked so much like Eli did at birth, but I could tell right away that he had more of Rylee's personality! It took us almost 5 hours to come up with the perfect name for him, but KC fits him.

For the last year Kale has been a little bit above average. He started rolling over at like a month and a half old. He started crawling before he was 6 months old. He took his first steps right after he turned 9 months old, and was running about 2 weeks later. It just amazes me how much he has grown, and how much he has developed a little personality! Not to mention the fact that his hair is now curly! I can't wait to see what the next year brings! Happy Birthday little man!

Cow Chip Throw...

Rylee & Eli on the big blow up Slide.

Trent and Kale at the Parade.

Kara, Alex, and Eli at the parade...

This weekend we went to the “Tournament of Champions”, Cow Chip Parade in Sauk Prairie. It was a lot of fun. The parade was fun, Eli was so cute. He kept making trying to get all the trucks to blow their horns by making the pulling gesture with his arm! It was funny. The kids got lots of candy, and beads. This year’s theme was “Moodi Gras”. After the Parade we headed over to the park to watch some chips fly, eat lunch, etc. The kids went on some blow up slides, and bouncy houses. Then we headed home. It was a lot of fun. Kale was dancing to the music from a band that was playing while we were eating lunch. I think I have finally convinced myself (after living in the area for 7 years) to throw next year! I have wanted to for awhile, but chickened out. After watching some of the woman this year, I think I am ready! I think it would be fun to take the kids down and have them do the kids throw too! Only in Wisconsin!

Special thanks go out to Kara for saving us a spot for the Parade! :)

Eli's First Day of Preschool!

Eli - Signing in for the first time (w/ Mrs. Pearson's help)
Eli and Luci on the 1st day of 3 yr old Preschool.

Eli my “big boy” went to his first day of Preschool today! He was very excited about it. This morning he was ready to go! I dropped him off at 9:00 a.m. and he excited. Him and Luci looked so little. I don’t remember feeling that Rylee was that small on her first day, but I am sure I did. He was excited to go. I called Kara after they got back, and she said that both Luci and Eli had a million things to talk about. They were very excited about going to school! It’s so cute! He didn’t go potty in his pants either! YEAH! He is potty trained, but the last real accident he had was a the preschool “play date”. So of course he came home in different clothes! AHH! Oh well! I can’t wait to hear about everything tonight!

Our last puppy went to his new home today too! I am sure we will miss him, but I know he will be a great addition to Sylvia and Malcolm’s family. They already own a poodle (from Lilly’s last Litter) and now they will have two dogs! Malachi (that is what they named him) will love living with Faith his half sister. The best things is she is the dog we puppy sit, so we will get to see him every once and awhile!

Being a Kinderbeaner!

It’s funny the things that Rylee comes home and talks about after school. Stuff that you and I take for granted...The first day of all day kindergarten, when I asked her what she did at school, and how it went. She responds by telling me about lunch. “Mom, did you know that at school we eat our lunch on these long square plates!” Really...Those would be called Lunch Trays! “Mom, We get to go outside and play, two times a day, and when we do that it’s called Recess” It’s funny to think of all the new things she is learning and all the outside influences she has now that she never had before. Last night the big topic of conversation was about her teacher, Mrs. Rashid’s cat. She apparently has a cat named Lilly, and she ran away and didn’t come back for 4 days! I think I got to hear that story 3 times! She thought it was really funny, and really neat that her teacher’s cat and our dog had the same name. She is doing really good with riding the bus to and from school to the middle school where Trent or I drop/pick her up. She seems to really like Music class. They started learning how to play the keyboard already. This morning she wanted to take lunch from home, cause some of her other friends do that. But it was too late for me to pack something and get her to the bus on time, so we postponed that until next week.

She has been tired at night. She is going to bed about a ½ hour earlier than she normally does. But all in all she is doing great and loving it. She talks about her new friends a lot. She hasn’t mastered all their names yet, but she is learning them. It is amazing how much it seems she has grown up in the last week!

Rylee's First Day of School...

Rylee getting on the School Bus this morning.
(First Full Day of Kindergarten)

Rylee in front of the school.

Well, My baby girl went to school yesterday for the first time. It wasn't so hard on me cause I went with her...What you ask? Well, Lodi does a half day the first day of school and the parents come along. It's suppose to help with the transition. So we went in the afternoon yesterday, meet her teacher (Mrs. Rashid), put her supplies away etc. Then at 1:00 p.m. the parents went to the gym where the principal introduced us to the music, phy.ed, & art teachers. They also intorduced people from the bus company, PTO, and the school nurse. After about an hour we went back the classroom for milk break. After a little while the kids went outside for recess, and the teacher talked to us about various classroom stuff, show & tell, schedules, best ways to contact her, parent teacher conferences, etc. Then they cam back inside and we wrapped up the day! Rylee had a good time! She said she liked her new teacher, and freinds. Today is actually her first full day (w/o Mom and Dad).
I am dropping her off at the Middle School (Bus Hub) and she rides the bus to her school. Then at night she rides the bus back and Trent will be picking her up there. She was excited to get on the bus this morning. I was worried she would be scared, but she said bye, Mom and hopped on! It was cute. Eli was excited about seeing all the busses! He wanted to know which one "Ry" was on! I can't help but keep thinking about her today. Wondering if she found her classroom okay, what she is doing, how her day is going...I know that she is excited and ready for this, but I am not sure that Mom and Dad are! I can't wait to hear all her stories tonight when she comes home.
