Here are some more pictures from "national night out". Thanks Kara!

Last night we headed home and hung out in the yard, played a little soccer, and fetch with the dogs. Trent went inside to make supper (Corn & Steak...YUMMY). Rylee wanted to go for a bike ride, and of course she wanted to go on the tag-al0ng that is attached to my bike. We have not rode this much this summer. So Eli was going to ride his bike and Rylee and I were going to take my bike with the tag-along. Rylee doesn't realize that she can't lean, so we start out and the bike is totally swaying back and forth. I am trying my hardest to bike in a straight line. I keep saying to her...Stay straight, don't wiggle or lean. She keeps saying, I can't...I don't know how. We get to the end of the street. Wait for Eli to get there, and head down the block. Eli is doing good keeping up and I am starting to keep our bike/bikes from swaying so much. As we stop at the end of the block again, my flip flop gets caught and breaks...Umm...Now what...We are only two blocks from home, we will just circle back and I will get different shoes...Okay, so we start to head home. The sidewalk on this part of the block has lots of stones, dirt, stuff on it from the houses that are under construction, so I am having a harder time getting the bike to stay straight. Rylee starts freaking out, "I'm scared, I'm scared, we are going to fall"...I keep telling her to hold still, we will be fine. Then Eli starts shouting from behind us...I'm stuck, I'm stuck...He got stuck on some of the dirt piles and can't get going again. I stop. Get off the bike, Rylee gets off, I go back to help him get "unstuck". He starts pedaling again. I get back on my bike and Rylee refuses to get back on...She is "too scared". Fine...Eli you get on the tag-along and Rylee will ride your bike. Well, Eli is a bit small yet for the tag-along, but whatever...I start going, and Rylee starts crying. I stop...What is the matter, I am too little, I can't ride Eli's bike. I tell her...then just walk it home. I pedal up the little hill and to our house. I get off the bike, take Eli off the tag-along, put my bike away, and Rylee is still not home, so I got outside (mind you all of this is happening with my broken flip flop) she is still at the bottom of the hill...crying. I walk back down there...At this point I just said forget the shoes, and took off my flip flops. What is the matter? I can't ride Eli's bike it's too little...Ummm...I think we had this conversation already, Just walk the bike home then! AHH! Finally after 20 minutes, 3 crying spells, and one broken flip flop, we walk into the house (I am a bit crabby at this point), and Trent says...You are back already? I thought you were going for a bike ride!
