Happy Birthday Eli!

Kale Riding his New Toy while Mommy is opening presents.

Eli eating some of his Cake.

Well, Eli turned 3 years old yesterday! He is getting to be a big boy! Literally! He has also been wearing big noy underwear for a week now, with only a couple accidents! YEAH! We had his 3 year check up today! He was 40 inches tall and weighed 36 lbs! He is in the 100% for height and only the 50% for weight! That is the lowest he has been. Especially considering at one point he was in the 97% for weight! He is really thinning out! Otherwise a very healthy little boy! He was dissappointed though, when we went to leave the Doctor, he wanted to know why he didn't get any shots! Not too many kids would be mad about that! :)

We celebrated yesterday with Kale and Eli's combined birthday party! It was a lot of fun! Two sets of presents to open, two cakes...Lots of fun! I think the boys both had a blast!

Thanks everyone for making the boys party a big sucess! We really appreciate it! It's amazing how many close friends and family we have that are very active in the kids life. It means a lot to Trent and I have to all of you there to watch our kids grow, change, and develop!

View from Brigham Park in Blue Mounds.

Rylee in a tree at the Park

Rylee looking at the awesome view...
Can we see Sauk City?
After we got done at the Cave of the Mounds we went up to Brigham park in Blue Mounds. It's just up the road from the Cave. It's a really neat park. It overlooks miles of the country side. These are some pictures from the park. It was a little rainy the day we went, you can almost see the rain in the clouds. It is a spectacular view!

Kale's First Hair Cut!

Before

After

All three kids got haircuts last night...Eli went first. He is an old pro. He has been getting haircuts from the time he was 9 months old. Then Rylee went next. She has been talking about getting her hair cut short for months, but we haven’t done it. Well, Last night she did it. I am not exactly how much length she got cut off, but her longest layer is a now shoulder length and her shortest layer is more like chin/ear length. It’s really cute. She said she wanted her hair as short as Mikki’s. It’s not that short, but it’s a lot shorter then it was.

Then Kale was up...Let me tell you! He can be a little stinker, and his first haircut proved it! He would not sit still so I ended up holding him on my lap, essentially holding him down, while she tried to cut his hair as he wiggled, and screamed. At one point I said to the lady...You are pretty good at hitting a moving target! Kale’s face was bright red, I was sweating trying to hold him still, there were real tears pouring down his cheeks...We decided that it was good enough. He didn’t get as much cut off as I would have liked, but it was as good as it was going to get. Here is his before and after photos. He does look a little bit more like a little boy now.

I realized that I am really far behind on putting pictures up. When I downloaded these haircut pics...I found pics of our picnic at Devil’s lake, and our trip to Cave of the Mounds & Brigham Park. I will add some photos to the blog from those too!

Fantasic Weeked!

Stalactite called the "Cave Parrot"
Trent, Mark, and Rylee in the cave

Flow Rock from the Cave

Rylee infront of the flow rock in the entrance of the cave.

This weekend was just fantastic. Trent and I both took a half day and headed down to Mt. Horeb to take Rylee to the Cave of the Mounds. We stopped for lunch and headed over! It was a lot of fun! Rylee seemed to really like it. We wanted to do something special just for her before she started school, and she has really started to get into rocks this summer, so it was prefect.

Then Saturday we did some cleaning around the house and took the kids up to Mom and Dad's. We had a wedding in the Dell's for one of Trent's co-worker and Baseball teammate. We headed to the Dell's. It was a great time. The wedding was a lot of fun, and John and Rachel looked fabulous! We stayed overnight at the Wilderness and Mom and Dad brought the kids up to the Dells on Sunday. We hit the waterpark! That was a blast! The kids loved it. Kale was sticking his head in the water, Eli was afraid of nothing! He went up and down this one slide like 40 times in a row. Rylee wanted to go on all the big rides. We found out that it was harder to do that this year with Kale than the last time we went. Two person tube rides with 5 people...Doesn't work out so great! Oh well! Then we headed to get some supper and home. Everyone was tired from the busy weekend. So we headed to bed early.

Happy 36th Trent!

Today, Trent turns 36 years old (and Easton Turns 2 yrs old)! Trent leaves for work early, so on our way to Kara's house this morning we called him and put him on speaker phone so Eli and Rylee could wish him a happy birthday! It was cute! When Eli got the phone he got so excited that instead of wishing him a "Happy Birthday" and telling him that he went pee on the potty this morning he said, "Happy pee on the Potty!" I couldn't stop laughing...Tonight we are going to go out and celebrate! Well, with 3 kids...We are mostly just going to go to dinner, but still! Happy Birthday, honey! Enjoy your day! After all you only turn 36 once in a lifetime! Love you!

Faith's Visit...

One of the advantages of having puppies is that from time to time we get to see the pups and see how they are doing. Well, Faith is one of our frequent visitors. She comes back to visit when her "parents" have to take trips out of state. This weekend Faith came to visit again. She is Easton's sister, and they have great time when she comes! It's nice to see how big she has gotten and how her color is turning out. It's always nice for her to spend a couple days and play. Easton and her play constantly! It's funny. The puppy was also happy to have someone new to play with as well. The best news from Faith's visit is that Silvia and Malcom are going to by the last puppy! They are going to name him Malaci, but he will not go to their home until Sept. 8th. That is Silvia's birthday! So now we will get to see him everytime Faith visit's too! Rylee and Eli will be sad to see him go, but it's tough having 3 dogs! It will be nice to be able to go for walks again!

Golfing for Dummies!

This is what you look like when you hit the ball too hard, and fall over...(Stephanie)

Watching Cheryl hit...(Mike, Leo, Stephanie)

Cheryl taking a wack at it! :)

We had a great time golfing this weekend. Trent had his Home Talent Golf outing, and needed another 4 some. He talked myself, Cheryl, and Mike into golfing with Stephanie and Leo Moreno. We had a great time. We might not have been the best golfers on the course, but we definately had the best time. We shot fairly well considering, It was the first time Cheryl and Mike had ever golfed. I hadn't golfed in like 5 years, and Stephanie and Leo had just taken lessons and started golfing this year! We finished +1 overall! I think we lost about 20 balls, and laughed so hard we cried! Here are some pictures from the day! It was a good time. So good, we might just have to do it again next year! :)

Crazy week...

Kale's First Spaghetti Dinner!

WOW! What a week this has been...Finally a moment to catch my breathe...

Rylee has had Soccer Camp every night from 5:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. She seems to be doing very good! She like playing, and is really starting to get things! It's fun to watch! She is growing up so fast. Today I have to go "register" her for kindergarten. Turn in all the paperwork, and money. We will also find out who her teacher is. Not that it matters to me, cause I don't know any of them anyway, but it will be nice to know.

Between Volleyball and working...It's been a super busy week. I started working at a restaurant last week. It is the Spring Creek Tavern. I am hostessing and waitressing. I trained on Friday night and last night too. We had our last volleyball game of the summer on Tuesday as well. Tonight, Rylee and Eli are going to Mom and Dad's house for a couple night, so that they can spend time with Grandma and Grandpa before school starts.

Amy's 30th Birthday Party...

It's Official!

Trent won the batting title! He ended the season with .403 batting average! We are very proud of him...He has been playing home talent for years and this is the first year he won it! Well, He ended up in a two way tie for first, but if you take out the percentage one more place (to 4) then he is in first! Congrats! Here is the link:

Bike Ride from...

Trent with his "Beer Goggles" on...

Trent & Kids watching the Helicopter take off.

Trent, Elijah, & Kale after the helicopter started.

Here are some more pictures from "national night out". Thanks Kara!

Last night we headed home and hung out in the yard, played a little soccer, and fetch with the dogs. Trent went inside to make supper (Corn & Steak...YUMMY). Rylee wanted to go for a bike ride, and of course she wanted to go on the tag-al0ng that is attached to my bike. We have not rode this much this summer. So Eli was going to ride his bike and Rylee and I were going to take my bike with the tag-along. Rylee doesn't realize that she can't lean, so we start out and the bike is totally swaying back and forth. I am trying my hardest to bike in a straight line. I keep saying to her...Stay straight, don't wiggle or lean. She keeps saying, I can't...I don't know how. We get to the end of the street. Wait for Eli to get there, and head down the block. Eli is doing good keeping up and I am starting to keep our bike/bikes from swaying so much. As we stop at the end of the block again, my flip flop gets caught and breaks...Umm...Now what...We are only two blocks from home, we will just circle back and I will get different shoes...Okay, so we start to head home. The sidewalk on this part of the block has lots of stones, dirt, stuff on it from the houses that are under construction, so I am having a harder time getting the bike to stay straight. Rylee starts freaking out, "I'm scared, I'm scared, we are going to fall"...I keep telling her to hold still, we will be fine. Then Eli starts shouting from behind us...I'm stuck, I'm stuck...He got stuck on some of the dirt piles and can't get going again. I stop. Get off the bike, Rylee gets off, I go back to help him get "unstuck". He starts pedaling again. I get back on my bike and Rylee refuses to get back on...She is "too scared". Fine...Eli you get on the tag-along and Rylee will ride your bike. Well, Eli is a bit small yet for the tag-along, but whatever...I start going, and Rylee starts crying. I stop...What is the matter, I am too little, I can't ride Eli's bike. I tell her...then just walk it home. I pedal up the little hill and to our house. I get off the bike, take Eli off the tag-along, put my bike away, and Rylee is still not home, so I got outside (mind you all of this is happening with my broken flip flop) she is still at the bottom of the hill...crying. I walk back down there...At this point I just said forget the shoes, and took off my flip flops. What is the matter? I can't ride Eli's bike it's too little...Ummm...I think we had this conversation already, Just walk the bike home then! AHH! Finally after 20 minutes, 3 crying spells, and one broken flip flop, we walk into the house (I am a bit crabby at this point), and Trent says...You are back already? I thought you were going for a bike ride!

National Night "Out"

Kids in the Ambulance...Let's hope it's the only time! :)

Rylee on the Fireman Pulley

After work last night, I had Volleyball, but Trent and the kids headed down to the park in Sauk and went to "National Night Out". It's a night to talk about safety, as part of the night the fire department, police department, utilties, and military are out with all of their equipment. The kids had a blast. They got to see fire trucks, police cars, helicopters, etc. They went dunked a police officer in a dunk tank. Got to ride on the Fireman Pulley. Saw a helicopter and watch it take off. It was a lot of fun! When I finished playing volleyball I headed down there, and found them. They were both super excited, and talking a mile a minute about all the cool stuff, and what they had done while I was playing! We hung out for a bit longer, and then headed to Pizza Hut for supper. Kale was so hungry. He ate the food (Gerber Graduates) that I brought for him, he had some breadstick, some pasta, some crackers, and some pizza! Hungry little guy! By the time we got home it was 9:30, so we got everyone off to bed. We will definately go back next year! It was a good time!

More Baseball...

Trent playing 3rd Base on Saturday.

Batting - Ready to hit

One of Trent's many fans...(aka Tyler)

Here are some pics from Saturday's game. It was Trent's last game of the year. The kids will miss going to park to watch Daddy play "basebaa". They like to hang out at the games. Mazomanie has a nice park with lots of stuff for the kids to do. They have two nice play areas too. I also bring along snacks and toys, so the kids have stuff to do. The funny thing is half the time they spend playing with the pine cones from the big pine trees by where we sit. They like to cheer Trent on...You can usually hear a "go Daddy" when he is batting. I always tell them to yell loud so he can hear you! I am sure that it distracts Trent, but I know he appreciates it too! Well, until Next year...Yes, Trent isn't going to retire like Brett Farve! He thinks he can play for another 10 years! ha ha! That means that Rylee will be 16 when he retires...WOW! I don't even want to think about that! Hopefully, there will be more baseball news to come. Trent is in the running for this year's battling title, but the official stats aren't out yet...

This is what Eli thinks about his Dad's All Star Appearance!

All-Star Trent...

Trent's Former Teammate @ All-Star Game
(Zach, Trent, Scott, Jason)

2009 Mazomanie Mustangs (3-13)

This weekend started out with a wonderful Friday Night at the Home Talent All-Star Game. Trent caught and got one at bat (in which he hit a screamer, and shattered his bat, unfortunately it was right at the second baseman!). It was a great time! Trent got to play with 3 guys he used to play baseball with in Hollandale too! It was a nice night! Then on Saturday he played his last home game of the season. He has had a great year, but his team has not. I think he is looking forward to next season and the possibility of the final 4 with a couple new players.
Until next year...
