Rocks?

Last night we were outside...The dogs/puppies were running around and the kids were playing. Rylee and Eli have been on this rock hunt the last couple days. They dig through the rocks that are up against the back of our house and try to find “cool” ones. In fact they even have ones they like lined up on the back step going into the garage. I know that this is not unique to my kids, and I also remember doing the same thing as a child. Hunting for that perfect rock, the one with some crystals on it, or one with neat markings or colors. I even still to this day have a rock that I found that is round (or close to it) that looks like a white ball. I am not sure what the appeal of them is, but it seems to be universal!

I always say...When the kids don’t listen that they must have rocks in their heads! Apparently it’s not in their heads...It’s in their hands! :)

Fun in the Sun!

Rylee in the pool
That's not Micheal Phellps - It's Eli!
These are pictures from the pool yesterday. The kids usually go with our sitter (Kara) to the pool about twice a week. It’s been such a cool summer that they haven’t been able to go as often as they would like to. But they went yesterday! She said that everyone had a great time. Kale is getting very brave in the water...That was until he face planted. Then he started holding on to Kara again! Fear in the water at 10 months is a good thing! He doesn’t realize that he is still a little guy! Ha ha! They love swimming! We need to go to the pool more often!

I had volleyball last night, but it was late. That is nice. I got home, and Trent was outside with the dogs/puppies...By the way...Did I mention we are down to two puppies now! Just the two Apricot boys are left! Anyway...The kids went outside to play, and I made supper. I went out when the supper was in the oven cooking. The kids were biking and playing with the neighbor boy. It was nice to be home for a bit before volleyball. Not so much rushing around! We lost again at volleyball...We are horrible! The good news was that it was a good game. We didn’t play bad, and it was at least close...That is better then some of our games!

Tonight we don’t have anything planned...House stuff, playing outside...It will be a nice night!

1980 something...

I can't believe that it's almost August. Summer is just going too fast! AHH! I think I have said that before! Hmmmm...Anyway, We had a nice weekend. Saturday was Trent's family reunion at his grandparent's house. It was a very good time! Lots of kids, volleyball, good food, etc. He had family from New Mexico their too! It was a lot of fun! Then Sunday The kids, Jodi, and I headed up to Mom and Dad's to help "move". I ended up spending the whole day going through the closet in my old bedroom. Apparently I had a lot more stuff there then I thought. Lots of it just got tossed, but I filled up the back of the van with stuff I brought home too! Oh the memories...

I found lots of things, Highschool yearbooks, plaques, 4-H Stuff, Monkeys (lots of them) Etc, but the most interesting finds really brought back some memories. Included in the things I found this weekend...

Rainbow Bright Doll

California Raisins' Figures

Smurf Figures

Stuffed Woolma Lamb

One of my "orginal" Cabbage Patch Dolls

Talk about a blast back to the 1980's! AHH!

TGIF!

Sleeping Beauty!

Where is his Halo?

So Sweet!

Some weeks I don't feel as wore out as others, but this week has been busy! Oh well! That makes you appreciate the weekend more right! ha ha! Well, Last night Trent had baseball, so we hung out outside with the pups and then made dinner...After dinner we painted toe nails and Rylee's finger nails. I don't like my finger nails painted, and I didn't really want to paint Eli's...So Eli and I just did our toes. Rylee got both done! Kale was crying...I think he wanted to get something painted too! Ha ha! Trent has seen Eli's Red left foot and purple right foot. We will see what he thinks. I took these pictures the other night after the kids were all asleep! Why is it that they are so angelic when they sleep! Have a great weekend!

You know you have had a hard day...

Eli after a hard day of play. (Look at his face)
Eli plays hard...This is him crashed in his carseat after a long day of playing, and not getting washed up! I think the sand box was involved! Too funny! Even his hand and pants look super dirty! Oh well!
Last night volleyball got rained out, so we stayed home grilled out and has sweet corn...It was a very nice evening! Tonight we have to get the puppies out and get the energy burned off! Last night they were very rowdy! Three 10 week old puppies and rain...Not a good combination!

Oh Cash!

Most Recent Picture I have of Cash!

This weekend was a lot of fun. I think there are probably a million stories I could tell, but the funniest story came from Sunday afternoon. Sally and the kids (Mikki and Cash) got there in the afternoon on Sunday. Most everyone was packing up or gone already. The Saladis’s were taking down there tent and getting ready to leave. Cash was taking something back to their car, and on the way back stopped to ask Tim about their boat. (They had brought it down to go fishing on Green Lake, or Puckaway). As Tim & Cash were talking, all of a sudden Cash says super slowly, “God Damn it!” Tim who is surprised to hear a 5 year old saying that, asks him if everything is okay. Cash replies with “I shit my pants!” At this point I have no idea how Tim kept it together, but he asked Cash if he should get his Mom. Cash said no, and waddled off. This is the point in which Sharon and I saw him. When I say waddle I mean waddle...He was trying to walk carefully to not loose any of the stuff in his drawers. As he walked by us Sharon noticed what looked like poop on his shoe. She made the assumption that it was dog related. Then I noticed some on the ground. Thinking like Sharon, I went to clean up the “dog poop”. As Cash continues to walk/waddle toward the port-a-potty Nick says, I think you have some on your leg too, Cash...At this point he stops. Sally goes over there to check things out and realizes what has happened. She can’t believe that he has pooped himself, so she tells him to head over to the “blue room” and she heads in to get some wipes to clean him up. Some where in this mess and Easton (our dog) discovers that Cash has this on his leg and starts licking it off of him! Now Easton has it on his face and nose. I go get Easton, clean him up and tie him up so that he doesn’t go try and “help” anymore. When I went into the cabin to get stuff to clean up Easton. My Mom asked if Cash was imitating the way that Kale walks...I laughed and said...No, He pooped his pants. Sally asked me if I could bring her some bags to put the underwear and shorts in, etc. When I went over there Cash was complaining that the flies wouldn’t stay off his legs! Umm...I wonder why! Anytime I need a good laugh this week I just think about him waddling across the yard! He told Sally that he just thought he had to fart and some poop came out! Apparently he had lots of baked beans the day before! How can you not laugh at the poor guy...”God, Damn it....I shit my pants!”

Camping Pond Weekend...

The pond camping weekend was a blast. It was a little chilly, but that made for less bugs! ha ha! I think as far as campers/RVs and tents we were at a high this year...We had a lot of people. It was so much fun. The kids were just wiped out last night when we got home. I was tired too, and you forget how great a shower feels after 3 days of missing them. I think we also set a new record of the number of dogs that we had there. I think the dogs out numbered the kids! But everyone got along, everyobe had a great time. I didn't actually take any pictures all weekend, which is unlike me, but Cheryl had the camera out and going. So I am waiting for her to send me copies! Thanks to everyone that came...Until next year...

Why is Summer so Busy?

I just can't understand why it is that the summer flies by so fast. Did you know it's July already? Everyweek seems to be getting faster and faster! AHH! Last night I ran home let the puppies out, got ready for volleyball, went to volleyball, (swapped the kids at the park to Trent), played volleyball, came home, ate supper, put the puppies and kids to bed, and then showered and went to bed! That was my night! It is all a blur...It's already Wednesday, and I still haven't gotten the stuff I was going to do on Monday. Today I took the puppies to the vet for their first shots, so they will hopefully be sleepy tonight, and I can get some cleaning done! AHH!

Why does the winter drag on forever, and summer is gone in a blink! I guess we have to enjoy it!

Trent and the Kids after his game.

Kale Relaxing like a big boy!
These pictures are from this weekend. We had fun at Daddy's baseball game! It was the first time I have taken a picture with the kids and Trent in his uniform. It reminds me of the pictures we have with my Dad as kids in his military uniform from every Memorial day! I will have to take pics of them with Daddy in his uniform on every 4th of July!
Rylee had her last night of T-ball last night. They actually played a "game", if you can call it that. Rylee didn't do great in the field, but did a good job batting. She was pretty distracted by the bird nests on the school when she was playing 3rd base. I blame that on Grandma Sharron! :) Next week she starts Soccer! We will see which one she likes better.
The Relay for Life is coming up this weekend! Rylee and I are walking with Cheryl, Mom, Nick, Chris, and Taylor plus others in honor of our friends and family that have battled cancer. If you would like to donate to the Relay or the American Cancer Society please let me know.

Lots of Activities...

Rylee smiling in the Miller Park Play Area (yes, that is a big glove!)

We had a very nice weekend. Friday we headed up to the pond (the kids and I...Trent had to work.) We worked on the bridge and got it 95% complete. It is only waiting for Chris to do some magic on the middle two sections. We got the rails on and spindles on. The middle sections are getting a fancy rope thing done...The kids (Rylee, Eli, Mikki, Cash, Holley, & Troy) played hard all day in the water. They were jumping off the dock, going for paddle boat rides, playing in the sand, swimming, swinging...They had a great time. It actually brought back a lot of memories for me of when I was kid. Hanging out at the pond with Mike, Steven, and David...Swimming all day! They had a blast. We ended up not leaving until 9:20 p.m. so it turned into a late night. Saturday, we got up and played with the puppies outside...Then headed to Trent's baseball game. After his game (they lost, but almost came back in the 9th inning) we headed to Tim's house for a party he was having. Since we didn't really get to see any fireworks, Trent had bought some stuff. Rylee really enjoyed watching Steve light them off! It was fun. Sunday was kind of a crazy day, cause Trent had another baseball game, and I had to work. Sally & Mike watched the kids for me, while I was working, and then we hung out there for awhile in the afternoon/evening. We painted with the sidewalk paints, and played baseball. It was nice. By the time we got home, and ate it was time to go to bed. We were all tired from the long weekend! I got some really cute pics of Trent and the kids at his game on Saturday. I will post soon!

Ready for a LOOOOOOOOOOONG Weekend!

Girls from work and I celebrating Sharon's Birthday. (Stacey, Lisa B., Thabatha, & Sharon S.)

Kale playing on gym

Not much to report here. We are had a nice night. Played with the puppies, and had a nice supper. The kids and I were wrestling for a bit in the living room. Kale is starting to walk a lot. He is constantly pushing his walk behind thing around the house, and taking more and more steps at a time. He took about 20 steps the other day. Then the next time he only makes it a couple! It is so cute though...He also got two more teeth. The top to middle ones are through! I am looking forward to a nice long weekend. We are heading up to the pond, going to baseball, and a couple other events. Should be a nice time! I have to work on Sunday, we are upgrading our computer system and we have to come in and make sure that everything works for Monday morning! Here are a couple pictures from the last week or so!
